The first spirit week of the school year took place September 5-7.The dress-up day included several beachy themes. Wednesday, September 5, students dressed for a “beach day”. On Thursday students wore leis. Friday’s theme was “Wipe Out the Owls”, referring to the the football team from Elgin that Duncan would be playing against that night. Students wore Hawaiian shirts on Friday.

The week ended with a pep rally. Students played several games to show their school spirit. The cheerleaders gave a beach themed performance. Student Council also used the pep rally as an opportunity to highlight Duncan’s new Special Olympics team, who medaled last year.
