The Christmas season has officially started. To celebrate it, Vocal Music students and Reflections members sang Christmas carols at Fuqua park last night beginning at 6:30. They sang songs from their Christmas show which included classics such as “Jingle Bells” and “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” giving the atmosphere a traditional Christmas cheer. Adding to the cozy Christmas attitude was the handing out of free hot chocolate and cookies and lighting of Christmas lights. The lighting of lights on the train was the main event, with Santa Claus leading a countdown up to the moment when he lit up the train. The lights on the locomotive were LEDs, which is different from previous years’ traditional Christmas lights.
